Natania is a multi-faceted artist, combing her South Pacific upbringing, intercultural living and multiethnic roots to draw from in her creations.

​

She has been fortunate enough to live in Auckland, Beijing, Vancouver and New York, soaking up the surrounding sub-cultures while studying dance and acting. Natania has training in Limon Modern technique, Contemporary, Old-school HipHop, Popping and Classical Theatre. A career highlight as well as lesson in humility for her was, interpreting for the renowned Popping dancer, Sweepy, as well as other influential dancers, at Beijing's Modern Music Academy.

Natania currently resides in Australia, teaching private Mat Pilates coaching with
Pilax, drama and dance for children & selling her earring art.

 

Fluent in Mandarin and with a traumatic disconnect from parts of her heritage, Natania combines her skills and world experiences to create her written works.
Natania’s recent projects have included staging her play A Study of Bad Accents at the New Zealand Fringe Festival, collaborating with Slanted Theatre as a playwright and assistant director, as well as publishing her Guide to China:
How to China.  

 

Her next projects include: finding an agent for her book Farther Aflight: a China experiment, funding and filming 7 Steps to Pouring Tea & Another Universe, while creating her own dance works. She welcomes serious inquiries about funding as well as representation for both performing and writing.
